How much does it cost to make a recording?
This topic is discussed in great detail in our Studio Recording Guide.

What are your studio's hours, and what is your availability?

All studio sessions and consultations are by appointment only.  Hours of operation are generally from 10AM to 10:00PM.  Our availability changes from week to week, so please email in advance to inquire about our availability when booking the studio for a session or consultation.

I have a some records and cassette tapes that I would like you to put onto CD.  How much will that cost?

We are happy to provide that service, however, there is no fast, inexpensive way for us to go about it.  To hire us to use our high-end equipment for this purpose can be quite costly at $30 an hour.  If you have just a handful records or tapes that you need transferred, ask a friend or family member for help.  Most younger people know how to record music on computers and burn CDs.  If you have an entire collection of records or cassettes, it would be in your best interest to learn how to record the audio to a computer yourself, as it is a time-consuming process.   Even if you do not own a computer, it could literally be less expensive for you to buy a computer and learn to do the work yourself rather than hire us.

Do you offer flat project fees?
We do not, and the main reason is because many musicians who come into the studio to record are unprepared and unrehearsed. This often causes recording projects to take many more hours to complete than they ought to. We don't mind the amount of time we spend in the studio engineering a product to completion, but if we charged per project rather than per hour, we'd go out of business. Our hourly rates, however, are calculated very conservatively and are always in favor of the client. This is to ensure that the producer is paying only for time spent recording, and not for coffee breaks, chit chat, or any studio downtime.

What are your terms of payment for your services?
We accept cash, check, and PayPal.  We're very flexible with payments – you're welcome to run up a modest studio bill, or pay as you go.  The main thing is that our rendered services will need to be paid in full before we release to you your finished recording project or graphic design files.
